Nikita Dunne died 20/04/2006 she was 16 and was still in school she lived in Runcorn and Widnes. She
had two brothers and she had cystic fibrosis a disease that affects the lungs and the digestive
system. She was a lovely young lady and she was always happy and would do anything for anyone. She
was so helpful and so much love to give around and she meant the world to me and her dad and
brothers and all the staff at Alder Hey hospital who have looked after Nikita and to all her family
and everyone who knew her. Nikita was so pleasant to be around she always cheered people up when
they were feeling down espically the young children going to stay in Alder Hey hospital who were
scared of being away from their parents, she always made them feel safe. Many thanks to all of the
staff at Alder Hey x

"Glimmers of hopes
I was too busy when you
Wanted to help me cook,
I had other things to do
When you'd bring your picture book.
I failed to find the time
For playing dolls and dishes,
Or listening to your dreams
And all your magic wishes.
There was so much I had to do
Before it was too late,
But, alas, my growing daughter
Could not wait.
Now the bed is neat
And toys in place,

No more interruptions

Her petals are unsealed.
She's soon a sweet girl graduate,

Well that little skinny baby is nearly 18!. I will be out with your mum and her mates on your birthday. Cant beleive you gone still. everywhere I look at work there is a reminder of you. Just wanted to let you know I still think of you. Even though I only knew you for such a small amount of time during my placement on B3, I adored you! You were such a lovely young lady, loved to have a laugh and always smiled! I can't imagine the pain of your close friends and your family, but I hope you're with them, looking out for them and helping them to keep smiling.

Hiya niki babe, i've been thinking about you more than normal lately, an how much i miss you. I hope everything is ok for you up there and your happy at peace looking down on us. We all miss you terribly here, you are such a special girl an you really hit everybodies heart. Its our bens b.day in a couple weeks, he's gona be 2, he's gettin so big. I've got a big picture of you in my room an i have been teachin him to say your name ha, he can get it quite good, doesnt say the full name tho its more like ' keet' in a little scouse accent ha but he tries ha. Me an john have split up too, he's just a pain in the arse now but i have got a new boyfriend called Ste who is lovely, which you prob can already see for checking up on us all. Its your birthday soon, an your mum is organizin a big night out for you. The big 18!!! I know you will be there in spirt, keepin everyone happy an not letting them get upset cause your not there in person.
